THE SHORT ANSWER

The official press kit describes a 25 cm robot with 15 motors, a camera, an 8×8 time-of-flight sensor and two IMUs. Specifications are manufacturer-reported, not independently measured by this site.

Read a specification as a constraint

Small dimensions make a robot easy to pick up, but do not tell you the clearance needed for a turn or a recovery. Motor count tells you that several body parts can move, but is not a measure of task intelligence. When comparing platforms, translate each number into the experiment you want to perform. Floor space, a way to observe behavior and a sensible test routine often matter more than one headline specification.

02

Sensors provide different kinds of information

A camera captures visual appearance. An inertial sensor measures motion-related quantities. A range sensor measures distance in its supported pattern. These inputs are complementary, but their presence does not prove that every built-in behavior uses all of them. To understand a behavior, inspect its documented observations rather than assuming that a camera-equipped robot automatically recognizes any object you show it.

03

Power and compute deserve realistic expectations

The press kit lists a Rockchip RK3566, 1 GB RAM, 32 GB storage and a removable 2600 mAh NP-F550 battery, with approximately one hour of operation depending on use. That is a planning estimate, not a café benchmark. Training compute and onboard inference are different workloads. Do not assume the small computer in the robot is where large training experiments run.

04

What remains uncertain

The manufacturer labels camera resolution and field of view, range-sensor reach, radio versions, SDK languages and age recommendations as provisional. Avoid filling those gaps with numbers from unrelated robots. If one of these details determines your purchase, ask for the current confirmed specification. The open-source statement covers software; it should not be read as a blanket open-hardware license.
